Our Legacy
The story of Nambucca Technology begins long before our name. In 1998, Computing Innovations Pty Ltd was established in Nambucca Heads, continuing a tradition of local IT support and computer sales that had already been part of the valley for years. For over a decade, Computing Innovations was the trusted name for many households and small businesses across the region.
In 2012, the company was wound up, and operations continued under new stewardship as a sole trader. This ensured the business remained part of the local community, carrying on its role as a go-to IT service provider.
A New Chapter
In 2018, Nambucca Technology was founded with the vision of taking that legacy further. Later that year, we formally acquired the Computing Innovations store, bringing its history under our banner and combining decades of service with a fresh approach to technology.
For a time, we operated in the same familiar way with our shopfront in Nambucca Heads serving both consumers and local businesses. Just before the pandemic in late 2019, we made the decision to close our physical store. That moment marked a deliberate shift away from retail transactions and toward a focus on business partnerships, on-site visits, and tailored consultancy.
Our Evolution
Today, Nambucca Technology is no longer defined by a shopfront or shelves of hardware. We’ve moved beyond the retail model to focus on what truly matters, the partnerships we build and the outcomes we deliver.
Our work now centres on crafted technology solutions: supporting businesses with reliable system care, developing websites and hosting that give organisations a professional edge, offering consultancy that brings clarity to complex decisions, and providing the repairs, upgrades, and compliance services that keep everything secure and effective.
This evolution allows us to dedicate our time where it makes the greatest impact. To us, that is working alongside businesses, professionals, and households who want technology handled properly. For us, it has never been about the quick fix. It’s about being a trusted, long-term partner.
Community & Responsibility
While we now operate primarily as a consultancy, our commitment to community remains. We provide pro-bono and discounted work for local clubs, co-operatives, sports teams, and community organisations, recognising the important role they play in the valley’s social fabric.
We also extend this responsibility to the environment. Through initiatives like Ten Tags and a Tree, we link our electrical safety services to reforestation efforts across Australia.
